CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coastal Bend Food Bank launched it's first mobile distribution from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday morning to support our senior residents.
The Senior Food Box Program aims to help enhance the health and nutrition of low-income seniors aged 60 and older by providing a monthly food box.
On Tuesday, the seniors received a dry goods box, a produce box and some bread and tortillas, according to program specialist Megan Tedder.
So far, over 400 seniors are registered to receive assistance, but the food bank is looking to expand its distribution to 2,000 seniors!
If you would like to participate in this program and are aged 60 or older, you are encouraged to contact the food bank to register, you can find more information here.
