CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — For those who plan to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends who are sensitive to the sound of fireworks or would just like to ring in the holiday mindfully, you've got options!
3NEWS spoke with a fireworks stand operator who says there are all kinds of variations of fireworks available to customers.
Whether you wish to celebrate with a bang or a fizzle, there is something for you.
"Any fireworks stand will be more than happy to tell you what each firework does," Jason Perez said, "Fireworks range from stuff that pops, stuff that flies and also there are silent fireworks. We have silent fountains. So if there are kids that don't like loud noises we can cater to that too."
Those silent fireworks can also be a good choice for use around our service men and women.
"Veterans that may have PTSD, you know, they get triggered with noises like that," Perez added, "You can be respectful of them too."
To make sure everyone can be included in the celebrations, sensory friendly fireworks are an important option to keep in mind ahead of the holiday.
