CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi drivers may be surprised to learn that the city recently topped a list as one of the "easiest cities to drive in."
A new study released by "WalletHub'' identified Corpus Christi is at #1 out of 100 cities across the United States.
According to the report, the city boasts the lowest average gas prices, cheap parking, and smooth congestion.
The study showed that local drivers only spend an average of eight hours a year in traffic compared to cities like Chicago that averages 155 hours a year.
Another factor contributing to the city's top ranking was safety. The study showed Corpus Christi's accident rate is 8.3 per cent lower than the national average.
For those who do happen to find themselves in a fender bender, the city tied for first place for auto repair shops.
