Corpus Christi (KIII News) — If you want a home-cooked meal on Christimas, we have one of the restaurants you can go to in Corpus Christi. People's restaurant on I37 and Rand Morgan Road is giving out free meals on Tuesday, December 25th for those less fortunate.
Owners say it is something they strive to do every year and this year they were given a special donation from Flint Hills Resources to make it all possible.
"Our family has been blessed throughout the years in Corpus Christi. The community really comes out, they support a local business and we want to give back to the community and make sure everyone is taken care of. Especially on Christmas, and especially those that are unfortunate and can't provide for themselves," said Veronica Gonzalez, the daughter of the owner of People's.
Anyone is welcome to stop by on Christmas Day to grab a meal. But the meals will only be free from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
