Corpus Christi's VA Outpatient Clinic officially reopens

An addition to the Outpatient Clinic is a triage room, which is a dedicated women's health center and a mental health office.

Corpus Christi's Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic reopened Monday after being severely damaged during Hurricane Harvey.

For the past six months, the Outpatient Clinic has been shut down for repairs leaving many Coastal Bend veterans to go elsewhere for treatment.

The clinic initially had 21 exams rooms, but now it has 34. The update makes it easier to accommodate the more than 100 patients they see daily.

An addition to the Outpatient Clinic is a triage room, which is a dedicated women's health center and a mental health office.

The renovation project cost $1.9 million.
