CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Recent polling, according to the Texas Tribune, puts the race between Ted Cruz and Colin Allred at just between five points of one another.
Democrats have not won a Senate race in Texas since the 80's. The two are scheduled to debate in Dallas, hosted by our sister station. It's being called 'The Texas Debate,' and you will be able to watch it on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. right here on TV3.
Here is a reminder of some important dates to keep in mind if you plan on voting on Nov. 5:
Oct. 7 – Last day to register to vote
Oct. 25 – Mail in ballot application deadline
Oct. 21- Nov. 4– Early voting
Nov. 5– Election Day
