CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Democrat candidate Steve Keough is entering the race against Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz in the 2024 election.
Keough is a retired Navy captain, a patent attorney, and currently teaches at St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio. Keough is in town for this weekend's state Tejano Democrats Convention at the Emerald Beach Hotel.
"The key difference is experience matters, and I do have experience across numerous fields. It's not just political experience it's also experience with the business community," he said. "It's experience with fundamental issues that ensure progress for families and ensures pathways to not just citizenship but also pathways to a middle-class life for a lot of folks who are trying to find those pathways."
