CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you are looking for information on college admissions, FAFSA assistance, or want help with career exploration, look no further than TAMU-Kingsville's Trio Education Opportunity Center.
Christopher Hernandez sat down to speak with us about the EOC program and how they help students more clearly understand their needs before setting out on their education journeys.
"We provide assistance with college admissions to the participant's choice of any college, whether it be a trade school, community college or university," said Hernandez. "We also provide assistance with the Federal Financial Aid FAFSA or scholarship applications. "
Hernandez said the EOC program can also help individuals find GED programs for them to attend, assist with some testing fees, and connect with those who have more information.
Representatives are available to help by walk-ins, or by virtual and in-person appointments at the Coastal Compass on Fridays.
In addition to the group helping students fill out scholarship and financial aid forms, they hold an all-expense paid education and cultural group to expose participants to different labor markets and educational opportunities throughout the state.
