CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Del Mar College is ready to welcome students for the fall semester.
This week, they held a convocation where longtime biology professor Bob Long received the Creighton Award for his excellence in teaching.
Professor Long shared a story about a heart attack he suffered, he said that while it was minor, the experience will never be forgotten.
This is due to the fact that every single emergency responder who helped him that day was a former student of his.
Long said from the EMT, to the nurses, to the surgical techs, they had all once been students in his classroom.
Long has been with Del Mar College since 1999.
Our congratulations Professor Long and thanks for a great job to those former students making a difference in the health industry.
