SAN ANTONIO — A driver told police he accelerated when he meant to brake, crashing through the front window of a T-Mobile store Monday morning.
San Antonio Police responded to the the T-Mobile Store on Grissom Road near Culebra Road around 11:15 a.m. for reports of a vehicle inside the building.
When officers arrived, they found the truck parked inside of the building. The driver told police he was just going inside to pay his bill when he made the driving error and crashed into the store because he got the accelerator and gas pedals mixed up.
The store was open at the time of the incident, but thankfully nobody was injured. The extent of injuries is minor cuts to one employee. Employees weren’t sure if the driver meant to push the gas pedal or brake, but a few seconds after pulling in front of the shop, the driver slammed through the T-Mobile store.
Police say it was "just an accident" and no charges will be filed against the driver.
