CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Duval County Precinct 2 ran out of paper ballots at its only polling location at the Benavides Civic Center, according to election administrator Bobby Gonzalez.
Voters are being directed to use the electronic voting "DUO system" option available. Gonzalez said this is a hybrid voting system that is similar to using electronic machines.
The election administrator told 3NEWS the polling officials prepared 1,000 paper ballots as they typically only see around 130 to 140 voters, around 600 for primary elections.
He said they were caught off guard by the number of voters on Tuesday.
