The execution date for 32-year-old John Henry Ramirez, the man on death row for killing a convenience store clerk during a robbery in 2004, has been set for Feb. 2, 2017.
Ramirez was on the run from police for four years until his arrest in the killing of 45-year-old store clerk Pablo Castro. Castro was stabbed 29 times as he took out the trash.
