AGUA DULCE, Texas — A man was killed after crashing into the back of an 18-wheeler Wednesday morning on SH-44, just west of Agua Dulce.
Officials with the DPS said the crash involved an 18-wheeler and Honda Civic and happened just before 5:30 a.m.
The truck was in the inside lane when coming up on a crossover to turn and the driver of the Civic hit the 18-wheeler from behind, according to DPS officials.
Daniel Chapa, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
