Foster children receive wish list gifts ahead of Christmas thanks to U.S. Naval Health Clinic, Boys and Girls Club and caseworkers

More than 600 foster kids will benefit from the gift donations.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Santa is not the only one making his rounds this Christmas.

The U.S. Naval Health Clinic is getting in on the action by delivering gifts to foster children and those who may not otherwise have much this Christmas.

The gift delivering kicked off earlier today at the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Bend.

The Department of Family and Protective Services assisted the health clinic with the project.

They received a donation of gifts for children to be delivered by their caseworkers so that they will have presents to open on Christmas morning.

"All of the caseworkers at DFPS have an opportunity to meet wither their kiddos...is able to grant those wishes for our kiddos at this time."

The Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Bend said the goal is to bring some Christmas spirit and help those that are less fortunate.

The presents will go to more than 600 children of the community and were collected from the annual Frosty Tree gift drive.
