CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Music and dance are always a great way to bring people together, and one local organization is highlighting the importance of just how great it can be to unite a community through dance and music.
The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History held a ribbon cutting Friday recognizing the contributions Raphael Galvan made with the opening of the Galvan Ballroom Legacy exhibit.
Workers at the museum said the Galvan family does a great job at telling their own story and they wanted to showcase that perspective to everyone who comes to the museum.
Madeleine Fontenot, Dir. of Education, CC Museum of Science and History said, "It's important for them to know people who were important here...specifically with the Galvan family...creating those spaces for everybody in Corpus to come and feel like they were apart, like they belonged."
