Students at Gloria Hicks Elementary dropped everything to read on Friday morning as they participated in a special day to remember the importance of making time to read.
The event is aptly titled Drop Everything and Read Day. Educators, members of the community and event some of your favorites from 3News like Joe Gazin, John-Thomas Kobos, Sarah Acosta and Heather Gustafson paid a visit to serve as guest readers. Nueces County Sheriff Jim Kaelin and Corpus Christi Police Chief Mike Markle were also there.
