GREGORY, Texas — Students at Gregory-Portland High School will receive new equipment for their school that will help them with their futures.
Leaders from Del Mar College, the Gregory-Portland Independent School District, and Voestalpine Texas donated $50,000 for their process technology program.
According to the organization, they donated the money for the equipment to celebrate their students because they know that they're valuable to the community and will help them keep moving forward.
"For us to have a connection with Voestalpine Texas and Del Mar College, I mean it's a great deal for students getting our education and planning out our future and what we want to do later on in life," Joe Sauceda said.
With the help of the donation, students will be able to work with the new technology to help them get trained when they go out into the workforce.
