You can find the tree in all its festive glory over at Water's Edge Park in Downtown Corpus Christi.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The sights and sounds of Christmas are starting to spring up along the Bayfront, especially after volunteers worked to bring the traditional H-E-B Christmas tree to life on Friday.

The 40 volunteers gathered to get the 66-foot tree ready for its official lighting on Dec. 7 at Water's Edge Park.

H-E-B representatives said coming together to decorate the tree was just the way to kick off the season of spending quality time with friends and family.

"I think this signifies camaraderie, bringing people together, families, unity, and really just sharing in a joyous time for us all to come together and remember what the season is about," Senior Manager of Public Affairs Beth Dattomo said.

"I think, you know, one of the big things about the holidays is just to be thankful and realize all the things and blessings you have in your life it's just an amazing opportunity to reflect and be with family so we wish everyone blessing for Thanksgiving and for Christmas season," Director of Retail Operations Jordan Metteauer said joined with his children Luke and Lenora.
