Here are the places that are open and closed on July 4

City offices will be closed, but trash will be collected, and shoppers looking for a place to stock up last-minute for their should have plenty of options this year.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Most places will keep their doors open on Independence Day. While some may open with reduced or adjusted hours, there are plenty of options.

Retro Corpus will open at 4, and will be open for all ages until 11 p.m..

In the Game Funtrackers will be open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. half-price games all day long.

You can also go for a swim at the Portland Aquatic Center, which will open its doors at noon and close at 4 p.m.

Enjoy some time at the Texas State Aquarium, which will open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. The H-E-B Splash Park will be open, but just a reminder that the water will shut off 15 minutes before the aquarium closes.

CVS: Most stores will be open regular hours. Pharmacy hours may vary by location.

Dillard's: Stores will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Dollar General: Open regular hours, which vary by location.

Home Depot: Most stores open regular hours, but some may have an early close at 8 p.m. Check local store's hours.

Kohl's: Open regular hours, which may vary by location.

Lowe's: Most stores will open at their regular time but close early. Check your local store.

Macys: Open with reduced hours

Petco: Open, but some locations may close early

Sam's Club: Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Plus members, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Club members

Yes, all stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The pharmacy will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Curbside and Home Delivery will be open regular hours.

City offices and services

  • Garbage and recycling pick-up is still being picked up as usual, as well as heavy brush and bulky items. The JC Elliott Transfer Station is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and the Cefe Valenzuela Landfill is open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Corpus Christi City Hall, municipal court and the public health district will be closed, as well as the 311 call center and animal care services.
  • Public libraries also will be closed, as well as senior and recreation centers, After Hour Kid Power, city-run gyms and the H-E-B Tennis Center
