CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Friday students in the health science department at H.M. King Early College High School asked volunteers to come and help them practice drawing blood.
Kleberg County Judge Rudy Madrid answered the call and allowed his son, Bryson Madrid, to do the honors!
The students and volunteers said they are grateful that the district has a program that is so important to their future.
"You know what they're doing today is a valuable skill that they're going to be able to take with them the rest of their life," Judge Madrid said.
Other elected officials were on hand as well helping the class of seniors prepare for a career in the health field after graduating.
