25th Street shooting victim's identity released

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 42-year-old man killed in in 600 block of 25th Street in October was identified Monday. 

Jonathan Diaz died at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Shoreline after he was shot at about 3:28 a.m. at 25th and Ruth on Oct. 8.

He was not the only man found shot at the scene -- a 20-year-old man was also found and taken to the hospital and was expected to recover.

Corpus Christi Police Department officers said the men were shot as the result of a fight, and arrested 22-year-old Jessica Garza and charged her with murder.
