CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The owners of the well-known JB's German Restaurant and Bakery are putting the business up for sale.
This week, Brigitte and Jürgen Kazenmayer announced the decision on social media, saying the burden of having to manage their health issues and the small business at Staples and Everhart at the same time has been overwhelming.
The two have operated the restaurant and bakery for 12 years now.
The business first opened in a blue building on Padre Island near Whitecap Boulevard. It later moved into Corpus Christi proper in at least one other location, finally settling in its current location at South Staples near Everhart Road in 2021.
The business will remain open during the sale.
Once it is sold, they plan to return to Germany to focus on their health.
