Another Kootenai County man faces first degree murder charges in the death of Bo Kirk.
Justin Booth now faces first degree murder charges, second degree kidnapping charges, robbery, arson and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Bo Kirk, a well-liked father and X-Ray technician did not return home from work on October 22. Kirk’s pickup was later found torched and there was security footage from an ATM of someone using his debit cards. Finally, Kirk’s body was found near the Hayden Creek shooting pit.
David Hutto, Booth’s roommate, already took a plea deal in the case. As part of the deal, Hutto faces up to life in prison on the murder and kidnapping charges. He also waived the right to appeal and must pay restitution.
At Hutto’s sentencing hearing, a witness for the defense testified Booth is a white supremacist. Hutto also testified Booth made anti-Semitic comments when Kirk drove up behind them the night of the murder.
At Hutto's sentencing, Booth claimed it was Hutto who had pulled the trigger to end Kirk's life, while Hutto maintained it was Booth who had done so.
Booth was scheduled to appear in court on Friday at 2 p.m. He was previously being held in federal custody on a gun charge.
