Lightning strike from Wednesday night's storms kill Fulton family's cars

Luckily no one was injured, but Fulton Fire & Rescue posted pictures on its Facebook page of the bolt's damage.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Wednesday night’s storms brought not only wind and rain, but lightning as well.
One family in Fulton is lucky to have not been hurt after a bolt struck their garage and both of their vehicles.

Fulton Fire and Rescue crews said when they are arrived at the home, they could smell something burning. After checking the engine compartment and cab with a thermal imaging camera, they found no traces of heat or fire.

Unfortunately, though, both cars were left inoperable.
