CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Monday London ISD held a groundbreaking ceremony for their Early Childhood Learning Center, expected to open for the 2025-2026 school year.
The learning center is expected to house 14 classrooms, a cafeteria, gym and library for pre-K and kinder students.
Superintedent Dr. Bill Chapman told 3NEWS it's a project made possible through Bond 2022.
"We greatly appreicate the voters of London ISD for supporting our bond project a couple of years ago," Chapman said. "It's those voters who are making things like this happen to meet the needs and the growth of the London ISD."
After hitting the books, the first 50 students who arrived to the ceremony got the special honor of helping turn over the dirt and being part of history!
