CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) — Two people were rushed to the hospital after a wrong way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle. The accident happened at two Sunday morning at the top of the Harbor Bridge. Emergency crews were called to investigate the crash on the southbound lanes.
Police say the driver of a Jeep was driving north and hit head-on with an SUV traveling in the southbound lane. Both drivers were taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline in critical condition. Police are investigating the wrong way driver and say alcohol may have played a role.
The southbound side of the bridge was shut down for nearly three hours during the investigation. It's now back open.
