CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Anthony Carrington -- the man charged with the 2022 murder of a P.F. Chang's co-worker at the restaurant and the attempted murder of another man near Corpus Christi's Six Points area -- pled guilty to those crimes and was sentenced to 45 years in prison Tuesday.
Travis Boring, the man who died, was originally treated and released from a local hospital after the shooting.
However, he developed complications from his wounds and died after seeking help from a second hospital.
Nueces County Asst. District Attorney Joe Mike Pena said Carrington will be eligible for parole after he serves 35 years.
In March, Carrington was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for the armed robbery of an American Bank after committing shootings.
Tuesday's plea deal and sentencing bring the punishment phase for the crimes committed that day to a close, both locally and federally.
