CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A tourist must-see, the Selena Memorial -- also known as the Mirador De La Flor -- will close temporarily beginning Wednesday while the mirador receives new LED light upgrades.
Weather permitting, the installation of the new lights is expected to take about two weeks.
The memorial will be closed from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, but will be open to the public on the weekends.
The city of Corpus Christi said in a release that all of the mirador stops along Shoreline Boulevard will receive lighting upgrades.
