CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi NAACP wrapped up their 2024 community health clinic at the Ben Garza Gym.
The event provided a range of health, fitness and dental services to members of the Coastal Bend community.
Organizers say general information on how to maintain good health was also provided to create a safe-space for attendees and to make them feel more comfortable engaging in conversation when it comes to health issues and concerns.
"Well it's a blessing and an honor to be able to provide these services. Especially to be right here in the middle of the neighborhood," Vice President of the NAACP Thea Cain said.
"So I count it an honor to be apart of the NAACP to be able to provide this service," Cain said.
The NAACP hopes to continue to have this event annually.
The NAACP will have a few other events coming up in the fall as they continue to show their support for the community.
