CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A new 109-room hotel will soon be built in Corpus Christi's southside.
It will be located in a vacant field on the north side of La Palmera Mall. The area includes what is now Mt. Vernon Park.
Last month, the City of Corpus Christi issued a six-month permit for a new Home 2 Suites by Hilton. They are described as extended stay suites.
The new owners have about five months to begin construction.
