CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — 3NEWS reported on the recent opening of Taco Palenque outside the mall last month; now, Palenque Grill is poised for an upcoming launch.
Both restaurants were founded by owner Juan Francisco Ochoa, also recognized as Pancho.
The nearly 9,000-square-foot casual dining grill hosted a VIP event for friends and family, while the food chain's staff prepared for the imminent soft opening.
"Its hard getting something open closer to the holidays so we really appreciate the work that not only the city but all our friends in corpus have helped us, so we're excited to be able to open out doors right before Christmas," he said.
The public's soft opening is scheduled for Dec. 18. The restaurant will be located adjacent to Dave & Buster's at La Palmera mall.
