A fourth person has been charged in the shooting death of 24-year old father of three, Gilbert Sierra.
Back in November of 2017, Sierra's body was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach on 18th St. and Prescott.
He was rushed to an area hospital where he later died. Back on February 8, of this month, 21-year old Kayla Valdez was indicted on a charge of Murder, following that fatal shooting. Yesterday, Valdez pleaded not guilty requesting a jury trial.
Court documents show Valdez acted with three other suspects to gun down Sierra near an elementary school. Valdez now joins 22-year old Tyler Farmer, 18-year old James Lockhart and 19-year old Gavin Escoto as suspects involved in the case.
According to court documents her exact role in the case has not been released. Valdez is currently being held in the Nueces County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
