It's the first day of fall, and those fall colors are already at the Nueces County Jail as inmates have begun to wear new uniforms -- orange tops and orange pants.
Nueces County Sheriff Jim Kaelin said it was time for a change since the old uniforms were worn out and looked dingy. He said the new uniforms, which cost just under $24,000, did not cost taxpayers a dime.
