Congratulations, Coastal Bend--- You did it! Total donations for Tuesday's 24-hour challenge currently sit at $4,276,254. That means that 8,517donations have been pledged to 63 organizations that help our community.
Donation numbers are still being counted, but preliminary numbers show that donations have surpassed last year's efforts!
Here are the organizations who have received the most donations so far (keep in mind, these are preliminary numbers):

- Coastal Bend Food Bank - $140,245
- Good Samaritan Rescue Mission - $139,862

Day of Giving 2024
For 24 hours, starting midnight Nov. 12, Coastal Bend residents donated millions of dollars in charitable funds to local nonprofits through the Coastal Bend Day of Giving website.
Here’s the best part, 24 matching funders have come together to match the donations up to $1.5 million for each of the participating nonprofits. This means that each of the participating nonprofits had the chance to raise at least $48,000!

Day of Giving History
The first Coastal Bend Day of Giving took place in November 2009, when nine area foundations created the matching gift program after they noticed the need for food and shelter in the Coastal Bend.
Now celebrating their 16th consecutive year, Day of Giving has raised over $32.3 million for local nonprofits providing services to our community.
Just last year the Coastal Bend Day of Giving was able to raise $4,114,951!
