CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Another Sunday, another chance to give back!
As a proud partner of the Coastal Bend Day of Giving fundraiser, KIII's Domingo Live is counting down the weeks until the Coastal Bend Community Foundation's biggest annual tradition rolls back around on Nov. 14, 2023.
For its 15th year, the Coastal Bend Day of Giving will raise money to help fund more than 60 local nonprofits that serve a vast array of causes and communities across the Coastal Bend.
KIII, a proud partner of the Day of Giving campaign, will feature a spotlight interview with a participating nonprofit every week on Domingo Live leading up to the day of the fundraiser.
Habitat For Humanity Corpus Christi (HFHCC) Executive Director Amber Hazen joined us on Domingo Live to introduce our viewers to her organization, its mission and how folks can support it on Day of Giving.
HFHCC was established in the Coastal Bend in 1989 with one goal in mind: to make sure our neighbors in need have a safe place to call home.
Over the years, HFHCC has built 60 energy-efficient houses and repaired over 100 roofs for people in need. Moreover, HFHCC's "ReStore" program enables low-income families and homeowners the ability to purchase donated furniture, building supplies and other household goods at affordable prices.
Families in need of a home can learn more about the homeowner application process at the link here. Volunteer opportunities with HFHCC are available to interested parties as well.
You can help support Habitat For Humanity's mission and others across the Coastal Bend by donating online to the Coastal Bend Day of Giving fundraiser on Nov. 14 starting at 12 a.m. CST. Early donations will also be accepted during the fundraiser's Early Giving donation period from Nov. 6-13.
Further information and updates about the 2023 Day of Giving fundraiser can be found on its official website and social media pages.
