Corpus Christi (KIII news) — A cat left for dead on the side of I-37 has bounced back after a harrowing rescue and recovery.
It was back in March when a driver spotted the cat, named Pablo, by a barrier on the freeway. The driver tried to rescue him, but Pablo was scared and refused to move.
A week after the driver spotted Pablo more than 10 people joined together, including the Corpus Christi Police Department, and successfully got Pablo off the road.
Since the rescue, Pablo has been recovering at the Cattery and is now ready for a forever home.
"It's just a great testament of how the whole rescue community can come together and help just one little kitty," Cattery Executive Director Samantha Person said.
Pablo's rescuer has paid the adoption fee, and all the cat needs is a loving home and owner.
The Cattery is located at 8201 Weber Road.
