CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Developers and city leaders gathering downtown to celebrate a new beginning for many area families with the grand opening of Palms at Blucher Park on Friday.
It's a new affordable housing complex to add to the list of over 1,500 in our area provided by Prospera Housing Community Services.
Executive Director Jacque Woodring said the new complex will house over 70 families in need of a little extra help which is all part of the nonprofit's mission.
"Our hallmark is our supportive services, we not only provide the affordable housing, we meet residents right where they are in life with our after-school programs, our food pantries, our senior citizen events," Woodring said. "It feels really good. It's important work that's needed."
She said they couldn't have done it without the support of the city and their partners.
