CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Actor, artist, motivational speaker and director Pepe Serna has appeared in more than 100 films and over 300 television shows, including Scarface, Car Wash, and The Jerk. The life of the legendary Hollywood actor and Corpus Christi native is on display in his documentary, Pepe Serna: Life is Art. The film premieres on digital platforms Wednesday. He joined us on First Edition to talk about Latino representation on screen, how his Corpus Christi roots helped him live out his dream, and his hope for how the documentary will help inspire others.
Fellow Corpus Christi native Eva Longoria appears in the documentary, along with Cheech Marine and Edward James Olmos, who share stories about Pepe Serna's generosity and spirit as one of the pioneering Latino actors in the United States.
The documentary is available for streaming on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, and Vudu now.
