The deadline to apply to be a vendor at the Farmer's Market is Labor Day.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Portland Farmers Market is set to resume the first week of September. Residents can enjoy shopping for locally made items and goods the first Saturday of every month, usually, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 810 Houston St (by Greens & Things and Portland Marine). Portland's Farmers Markets are free to attend, and leashed pets are welcome.

The Farmer's Market's mission is to provide Portland and surrounding communities with the opportunity to buy locally homegrown and hand-crafted items, according to a statement on the city's website. Organizers say the day will provide a family-friendly environment for farmers, artisans and crafters to sell their products.

If you are interested in participating as a vendor, booth space is available for $20 and produce vendors are always free. Vendors must supply their own tables, chairs, tent, etc. and no electricity is available.  Small, portable generators are allowed. Anyone interested in becoming a vendor can fill out the application form available on Portland's official website.

Deadline for vendor registration is Labor Day; no late registrations will be accepted.
