PORTLAND, Texas — More than 5,000 AEP customers in Portland were left without power Friday afternoon, according to the electric provider.
AEP tweeted that they were working to restore power to about 5,700 people in Portland after the outage.
The AEP Texas Outage Map shows multiple locations in Portland where customers were without power.
The company hopes to have power back on by 2 p.m., but said that can change.
As of 3 P.M. AEP Texas has restored power to most of their customers, with fewer than five outages remaining on the map.
