CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Refugio County Courthouse was evacuated after a gas leak was detected in the historic building's basement Tuesday morning.
Sheriff Raul "Pinky" Gonzales said fire department crews are on-scene.
The leak comes right as county officials received $16 million in state funding to repair the building, which was damaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and never repaired.
