CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Here at 3NEWS we are all family and we want to share with you the loss of one of our own, our evening editor Terry Shane Files who passed away last week.
He was 41 years old.
Terry was with 3NEWS for over a decade, formerly a news photojournalist before becoming an editor.
He attended Gregory-Portland High School and Del Mar College.
Terry helped cover a number of important stories including Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and Hurricane Hanna in 2020.
We will all deeply miss him and the engaging conversations so many of us got to share with him throughout the newsroom -- many of which included his love for his niece, Sophia.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.
