Residents around Nueces River warned of additional flooding

Moderate flooding is expected to happen in Calallen with residents in the area possibly losing vehicle access to their homes for an extended period.

Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Additional flooding is expected in several areas of the Coastal Bend, with enough flooding to cut off access to residents' homes.

Flooding is expected around the Nueces River including County Road 73, Hazel Bazemore and Labonte parks. Flooding will rise above the current levels, and significant flooding will be in Mathis and Bluntzer.

Moderate flooding is expected to happen in Calallen with residents in the area possibly losing vehicle access to their homes for an extended period.

Residents are urged to take what precautions they can to prepare their property for the additional water.
