CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Gilbert Cervantes, who was running for the Robstown ISD Board of Trustee seat in Place 4 has been declared ineligible to run, per Katrina Alejandro, RISD Communications Coordinator.
The school board declared him ineligible as a candidate by unanimous vote in a scheduled meeting Monday night.
"I'm here for the election integrity of the Robstown ISD School board election," said one concerned resident at Monday's board meeting.
"I want to know, and our community wants to know. When was our school board made aware of this?"
