Rockport History Center reopens, and the newest art inside is powerful

Six months since Hurricane Harvey hit, The History Center in Rockport finally reopened its doors this Saturday. A new exhibit displays how students were able to turn devastation from Harvey into art.

For the past six months, we have seen and heard about the ugliness Hurricane Harvey left behind here in the Coastal Bend.

But this Saturday as The History Center in Rockport reopened its doors, an exhibit displayed how students turned devastation into art.

For months the center had served as temporary head quarters for a local judge whose building was destroyed by the storm.
