CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — San Patricio County is offering residents the opportunity to attend an event where they can learn about how to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Dr. James Mobley, the county's health officer says that his Health Department staff will be on-site, ready to speak with those who have questions for them-- that includes staff members of the Animal Control office and county inspectors.
Other health agencies like the ambulance service and hospital representatives will show up for the community engagement affair.
Dr. Mobley says it's all part of an effort to connect with those in San Patricio County who are looking for a way to get healthy.
There will also be a chance to win an emergency preparedness backpack kit for those who watch a short video, while supplies last.
More than 50 community vendors will be there so that people can shop around and see what they have to offer.
The San Patricio County Health Fair will take place Thursday, Oct. 10 from 7:30 a.m.- to 1:00 p.m. at the San Patricio County Fairgrounds Civic Center on 219 W. 5th Street.
