CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This year, Santa Claus decided to forgo riding his reindeer; instead, he arrived at Riviera Independent School District via helicopter to visit students and spread holiday joy and cheer.
This annual event provides an opportunity for children to meet Santa, express their Christmas wishes, and interact with him upon his arrival.
Assistant Director of Student Services Rhonda Yanklin shared a few words about the importance of Santa meeting up with Riviera students.
"We live in a small community, sometimes these kids don't get to the big city to see Santa, but we're grateful for everything that everyone does for Riviera ISD. We just really want to spread cheer and joy during the holiday season," she said.
Riviera students were full of smiles, and Santa plans to return next year, continuing to bring joy to students and make a difference.
