Corpus Christi (Kiii News) — Two accidents took place along the Crosstown Expressway overnight leading to lane closures for a short time. The first crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning when the driver of a sedan exiting onto Greenwood off of the Crosstown Expressway lost control and hit the median then rolled over.
The driver was thankfully okay with only minor injuries. However, a second accident occurred when an officer on the scene ended up getting struck while sitting in his patrol car by a black SUV.
4 people were inside the SUV, though none were seriously injured and neither was the officer. They were all taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline to get checked out. Both drivers were given tickets for speeding.
