CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A fire broke out at a home on 517 Sorrell Street near Ray High School at around 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Nobody was in the home, but firefighters were able to contain the fire within 20 minutes without any injuries to neighbors or crew members. The house was being remodeled at the time and it was during the painting phase.
The fire spread into the attic causing significant damage.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
CCFD is still investigating.
