CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Port Aransas Police Department are preparing to keep tourists and residents safe as Spring Break comes around the corner.
Police Chief Scott Burroughs said over the years there has been more families coming versus party crowds.
"This is a great area to bring your family unlike a lot of the other destinations for Spring Break," Burroughs said. "You're not gonna have to worry about being accosted by a bunch of drunks and craziness, so it's a great family destination. And on the other side there are small areas of the beach that, that if you want to come down and hang out with your friends and raise a little Cain we've got that too."
